Developed as an enhanced version of the VEMIO-1, the VEMIO-2 offers expanded output capabilities and greater flexibility to manage a wide range of applications, adapted to multiple scenarios and industries. When connected to an MDB device (Unigate, MDB-USB, or MDB Pi Hat), the VEMIO-2 can operate as the central controller for a vending machine. In this configuration, the MDB interface handles the payment processing, while the VEMIO-2 manages the control actions that follow.
Once a payment is completed, the VEMIO-2 receives the signal from the MDB device and activates the corresponding relay output — for example, to release a product, unlock a locker, or enable a service. This setup is a practical, modular approach that lets you build or upgrade vending systems with precise control and secure payment handling, without the need for complex hardware integration.
The VEMIO product series offers USB-connected IO interfaces designed for creating vending machines with versatile hosts such as Raspberry Pi or other standard computers. These devices use a virtual USB Serial connection and an ASCII protocol (line-based), ensuring straightforward usability and seamless control from any compatible host system.
VEMIO comes in two versatile versions—VEMIO 1 and VEMIO 2 —designed to meet a wide range of needs. Please note that control of multiple sensors is supported by VEMIO-2.
